Before the Hunger Games, book or movie, there was the Japanese hit, Battle Royale. I am surprised when Hunger Games became a hit, no one realized the similarity! Both are set in the future where young people are rounded up and sent to a controlled element to kill each other. Whoever is left standing will survive and emerge as champions
